Where it all started! My best friend was getting married. Being a graphic designer, Emma asked me to design her wedding stationery — from save the dates, invitations and on the day stationery. I had no idea what was involved but I did a little research, got some Pinterest boards going for inspiration and got an idea of the look and feel they were after. Their theme wanted to capture the wedding venue vibe so we went with a navy colour scheme, fairy lights and a relaxed script font. We carried the same theme through to the day stationery and had a subtle Lego theme throughout.
Save the Dates
We kept these digital and Emma & Jonny sent these out over email and messages.
Invitations
We went all out and created a 5-card bundle with an outer wallet. We tiered the cards on the inside for a lovely display and attached a square design on the front with ivory satin ribbon.
On the Day Stationery
We had the usual items for on the day: table numbers, table plan, place cards and signage posters ('post your cards here' sign) — but we also designed a lovely wedding order of service tent card, which included the timeline of the day, a Long Story Short timeline of their relationship and it opens up to show illustrations of the wedding party inside!
